QUINCY - A homeless woman was arrested and is due to be arraigned today after allegedly assaulting a man and breaking into two vehicles.
Police said a man who lives on Massachusetts Avenue saw an interior light on in his vehicle shortly after 5 a.m. When he investigated, he saw Lucy C. Barrientos, 37, exit the vehicle. A struggle ensued, with Barrientos punching the victim several times and also striking him with her bicycle, police said.
She was arrested a short time later. The woman also was linked to a break-in of a vehicle on James Street earlier today, police said. Police said Barrientos was going to be charged with two counts of breaking and entering into a motor vehicle; three counts of receiving stolen property; and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, -a bicycle.
