CRANSTON, R.I. (AP) -- A Cranston man is arrested and faces drug and weapons charges following a police raid on his home.
Police say Thomas Giannini is charged with illegally possessing cocaine, firearms and explosives. He was arrested Thursday and is being held without bail at the Adult Correctional Institutions.
Also arrested is Edward Gelsomino of East Providence, who was charged with possession of cocaine.
State Police Lieutenant James Demers say detectives searched Giannini’s home and seized eleven firearms, including rifles, semiautomatics, revolvers and shotguns.
They also found what Demers suspects are explosive detonators. Military experts are still examining the devices.
