CHAPLIN, Conn. -- A Chaplin man is facing charges of having sexual contact with an underage girl.
Aaron Whitney, 28, was recently accused of meeting a girl who is nearly half his age on social networking Web site MySpace.com and having sex with her.
Police said Whitney used a MySpace account in 2004 and 2005 to arrange sexual liaisons with a 14-year-old in the Mansfield area.
Channel 3 Eyewitness News reporter Len Besthoff reported that Whitney currently has eight pending criminal cases against him at several courthouses around the state.
Besthoff reported that more than half of the charges against Whitney involve sexual acts with minors.
Last year Whitney was accused of having sex with a 13-year-old at a Portland motel.
Whitney's attorney told Eyewitness News that Whitney believed that all of the girls were of age.
