These are some unique units to the BPD (Well at least the first one is)

Treat me as a thick "limey cop" but how do i post phots on the forum ? Replies in simple english please , then i can post phots of our station and cars in Boston (UK),

First thing you'll need to do is upload your pictures to a web server somewheres. Most ISP's give you a little bitty amount of space where they will host your files, or you can find some other sites which will host online photos for you. Worst case, PM or email Gil or myself, we should be able to give some photos homes.

Next, find the URL for your photo. Easiest way is to have the uploaded photo displayed in your web browser and copy the address from the address bar or by right clicking on the photo and getting the address from the "properties" option.

Then compose your post on the BBS and click the "Img" button where you want to insert your photo. The BBS will insert a little bracketed tag into your message. Paste the URL of your image in right after the tag and then click the "Img" button again. The BBS will insert a second tag after your URL and you should be all set. Preview your post to make sure everything's green and you're all set.

Pitfalls: Be sure that your URL ends with the file name, not a web page. Easiest way, make sure the URL has a "jpg", "gif" type of file extension. If it's "htm", "html", "asp", etc. the image link won't work as you're directing to a web page instead of an image file.

Make sure your link starts with "http://"

Some ISP's do not allow remote linking directly to image files. Bastards. Find another host. I'm sure some of our BBS veterans can make recommendations.
