Tom Tancredo nuke comments

Presidential candidate Tom Tancredo recently stated that a good deterrent to us being nuked (suitcase nukes etc.) is for the USA to state the following.... let the terrorists (Islamic) know that if they are responsible for setting off a nuclear device(s) in the USA then the USA will respond by dropping a nuclear bomb on Mecca (muslim holy land). Tancredo was quickly attacked by many other politicians, both democrat and republican. Does anyone else believe that this would be a good deterrent? Read the book "Day of Islam". According to this non-fiction book it appears more likely than not that Al Qaeda has tac nukes and they are either already in this country of are stored in South or Central America (or Mexico). It wouldn't be too hard to get a suitcase nuke across either one of our borders. Al Qaeda's stated goal is to set off 7 of these tac nukes simutaneously in 7 USA cities including Boston (The American Hiroshima). Any thoughts???

WHAT non-fiction book? I find it hard to believe they have battlefield nukes for a number of reasons. WANTING and SEEKING to get them are not the same as HAVING them. Would they detonate a nuke on our soil, in a second but I think its far more likely that they will start with blowing up shopping mmalls, buses, etc.. and kidnappings way before they actually attempt to use a wmd.

I agree. It is far cheaper and easier for terror organizations to get small and improvised explosives than WMDs. It also goes to say that as far as intelligence wise it would be a lot easier for the CIA NSA to detect a terror organization purchasing a WMD than any other device. There are only a certain amount of nations that have them and we already have our eyes on them.

Read "Day of Islam", a non fiction book. You can buy it on Amazon for cheap money. Bin Laden is (or was pre 911) a "billionaire" nutjob. Many Russian (remember the USSR broke up?) tactical nukes are not accounted for. Just research it a bit before calling me a "nut job". Do I think Law Enforcement is doing a great job VS terrorism? Yes. Do I think our Troops overseas are doing a great job. Yes. Are Hezbollah, Al qaeda and gangs like MS13 working together in Mexico and South America? Yes. Has Bin Laden been to Brazil before? Yes (pre 911). Is Islam becoming bigger and bigger south of the border? Yes. These are fact folks. We can act like it isn't a real possibility or we can take steps to stop it. Our borders (Canada and Mexico) should have a "great wall of China" type wall. They probably never will and we will regret it. Again, just research the suitcase nuke threat a bit before calling me a "nut job".
