INDIANAPOLIS --
A man accused of going on a crime spree after escaping from an Indiana prison last week was captured early Wednesday in Montana, police said.
The Indiana Department of Correction confirmed Wednesday morning that Kelvin Fuller, 42, was captured in a grocery store parking lot in Butte, Mont.

Butte-Silver Bow Sheriff John P. Walsh told 6News that an officer was investigating what he believed to be suspicious activity and found that the license plate on the car Fuller was driving was not registered to it. Officers determined that the vehicle had been stolen.
"The driver gave a name not that of Mr. Fuller," Walsh said. "Once we arrested him, he stated he would not talke with us and he wanted an attorney."
Walsh said Fuller's identity was confirmed with the Indiana Department of Correction, and that Fuller declined to cooperate with investigators.
Fuller had been on the run since Aug. 1, when he escaped from the Westville Correctional Facility in northern Indiana.
He had since been spotted in central Indiana, and was the prime suspect in several crimes in Madison and Hamilton counties since his escape, including the robbery of a Fishers bank Aug. 2.
Police said Fuller, a former Anderson resident, stole a white Chevrolet Malibu from a nearby home after his escape Aug. 1. He then robbed a bus driver at a water park in Merrillville and stole a security guard's walkie-talkie-type radio from St. John's Medical Center in Anderson that day, authorities said.
Authorities said they believe Fuller robbed a Village Pantry in Anderson and a Fifth Third Bank branch in Fishers on Aug. 2. Police said surveillance video from the bank robbery shows Fuller wearing the type of radio that was stolen from the Anderson hospital.
Fuller was convicted in three central Indiana counties -- Hancock, Marion and Madison -- of several crimes, including robbery, battery, criminal confinement, burglary, arson and escape from lawful confinement. Among other things, police said, he was convicted of setting fire to singer Sandi Patty's office in Anderson in 1990.
He was projected to be released in March 2012.
Walsh said authorities don't think Fuller committed any crimes in Montana.
Fuller's aunt, Mary Fuller, said she's glad the ordeal is over.
"My prayers were answered, and I'm glad that he ... was caught peacefully the way that he did," Fuller said. "Nobody had to shoot him or kill him or anything like that."
