NAUGATUCK, Conn. -- A Roman Catholic priest from Naugatuck has been arrested on a sexual assault charge involving a child.
Police say Father Robert Grant pastor of St. Mary's and St. Hedwig's churches was taken into custody Friday morning and later released on a $200,000 bond.
The 63-year-old priest was charged with second-degree sexual assault and risk of injury to a minor.
Officials with the Hartford Archdiocese, which oversees parishes in Naugatuck, say the priest has been suspended pending the outcome of the investigation.
