A MALE stripper appeared in court yesterday charged with wearing a police uniform and carrying an offensive weapon. Stuart Kennedy, 24, of Aberdeen, pleaded not guilty to both charges at the city's Sheriff Court. It is the second time the genetics student, who works part-time as a stripper, has been charged with the same offences. He was first charged after performing his act in Aberdeen city centre in March. He was charged for the second time on July 28 after appearing at an event in Oldmeldrum, Aberdeenshire, where he was was detained by police officers. A plea of not guilty was previously lodged on Mr Kennedy's behalf at Aberdeen Sheriff Court in relation to the original offensive weapons charge, including having batons in public. The original police uniform charge is not being pursued in relation to his first offence. He is due to appear back at Aberdeen Sheriff Court today in relation to the first offence.
