In a deadly dusk till dawn, four men were shot and two left dead as Hub streets from Mattapan to Roxbury exploded with gunfire.
Two men ages 20 and 28 were shot to death on Williams Street in Roxbury early yesterday morning, while about the same time a third man stumbled into the Roxbury Police Precinct riddled with bullets and looking for help.
One of the victims was pronounced dead at the Williams Street crime scene, while another died moments later at Boston Medical Center.
The third man, a 27-year-old, was rushed to Brigham and Women’s Hospital, where he was in critical condition but expected to survive, police said.
All three shootings happened around 2:02 a.m. on a deserted street with few witnesses.
The names of the two slain men were not immediately released. Police said they have no motive and no suspects in the murder.
The two homicides raise thecity’s murder toll this year to 42, six fewer than the same time last year, but 20 more than the same date in 2003.
The renewed violence comes the day after Boston Police Department released statics showing a sharp drop in shootings across the most violent neighborhoods in the city.
In addition to the Williams Street shooting, an 18-year-old man was shot multiple times, including once in the neck, on Regis Road in Mattapan about 9:30 p.m. Wednesday night. He was expected to survive.
