QUINCY - Police arrested an alleged heroin dealer parked at the back of a Walgreens parking lot Monday.
Christopher Dotoli, 43, of Norwell was charged with heroin possession with intent to sell and possession of ecstasy, Capt. John Dougan said.
The driver of the car, Stephen Kileen, 32, of Dorchester, was also arrested on drug possession charges.
A police officer doing surveillance in the parking lot of the Quincy Avenue store said he believed the two men were doing drugs.
The officer walked over to the car, and Dotoli and Kileen allegedly told him they were from the North Shore, waiting for a mechanic.
According to police, the officer saw steel wool and - a type of bag used often for drugs - on the car floor. Dotoli allegedly said he had just smoked crack. Police then found in his pocket money and a large plastic bag with 12 bags containing a brown powder believed to be heroin, Dougan said.
The officer found in Kileen’s pocket a small weight often used by drug dealers to calibrate scales, Dougan said.
A small plastic bag with 13 blue pills believed to be Klonopin was found in the car, and more suspected heroin was found in a box, Dougan said.
The men were arrested and arraigned Tuesday in Quincy District Court.
