BROCKTON — Police have charged a local man with driving the getaway car in the slaying of 17-year-old Jose Gurley.
Matthew Engram, 20, with a last known address in Brockton, is charged with being an accessory after the fact to a murder. Engram, who was arraigned Monday in Brockton District Court, is being held on $150,000 bail.
Gurley, a star athlete at West Bridgewater Middle-Senior High School, was gunned down on July 21 outside a party off Arthur Paquin Way.
Police had not arrested an alleged gunman for the murder by 3 p.m. Monday.
