I believe it is 19 to take exam, 20 to be on the job. Check the site, I was thinking of taking the exam as well.

Is it just me...whenever I hear Vermont State Police, all I can think of is SuperTroopers. "Littering and...Littering and...Littering and....smokin' the reefer." "Unit 91 come in unit 91." "Give me a liter of cola."

is it worth going up there if i have no expierence? Im 21 and have no expeirence in law but want to get into it. I took massachusetts correction officer exam also. Im in good shape and active all the time. Just wondering if i have a shot becuase i heard people with military background or police officers transfering up there are going to get the job. Any info would be appreciated, thanks

People get hired in VSP without military or law enforcement experience.

researching the recruitment page, upon graduation from the academy they get a lot more points for being in the military which help with placement, but they do not automatically get the job over a non military person. I'm going to go up and take the test, see how Vermont is, other than I-91 or I-89.
