ATLANTA --
Atlanta police said four people were killed and two others were injured during a shooting just after 7 a.m. Monday.
Officials said it was a case of murder-suicide.
The incident happened at 187 Mt. Zion Road in southwest Atlanta.
Officials are on the scene and have closed off the area. Neighbors have gathered outside the home and are distraught and puzzled as to what happened inside the house.
Police spokesman Eric Schwartz said the victims were all related and all lived inside the home.
Officials said they believe the shooter was Abdul Aziz Ibrahim. He was found dead at the scene.
Neighbors said Ibrahim was in his 50's. Neighbors described him as sweet, loving and a kind person who did things for children in the neighborhood. They also said he had been battling a blood disorder.
Ibrahim's next door neighbor said he was out cutting his lawn yesterday.
Also found dead on the scene was 26-year-old Hana Yusef and another woman in her early 20's.
Mohmmed Ibrahim, 28, died of his gunshot wounds at Grady Hospital.
Yusif Ibrahim, 27, was taken to Grady Hospital in stable condition and 3-year-old Amir Abdulhakim is at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta at Egleston in critical but stable condition.
The mother's name was not on the list of those injured or killed and neighbors said she was able to escape.
Police have not released a motive.
ATLANTA -- Police said a man shot and killed three relatives and wounded two others before killing himself Monday morning at his home in southwest Atlanta.
Atlanta police spokesman Eric Schwartz said he believes the victims were all related.
Police identified the gunman as 52-year-old Abdulazia Ibrahim. A neighbor described him as a retired immigrant worker who delighted in helping children.
Neighbors said that the family was from Ethiopia and had lived in the house about 12 years.
The shooting happened about 7 a.m. in a house about half a mile east of Interstate 75 and near Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.
Some neighbors who gathered outside the home sobbed when investigators brought the victims' bodies outside the house to be transported to the coroner.
Schwartz said the bodies of 26-year-old Hana Yusuf and Luna -- no last name given -- were found inside the house. A fourth victim -- 28-year-old Mohmmed Ibrahim -- died at Grady Memorial Hospital.
Two others are hospitalized. Police said 3-year-old Amir Abdulhakim is in critical condition at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta at Egleston. Yusuf Ibrahim, 27, is in stable condition at Grady.
