JACKSON, Miss. - An armed man and two women entered another woman’s home Saturday morning wearing masks, tied her up and took off with her 5-month-old adopted girl, authorities said.
Agents are looking for Madison Erickson’s biological mother "just to see what she knows, if she knows anything about the situation," said FBI agent Jason Pack.
The Mississippi Highway Patrol issued an Amber Alert after the kidnapping, and the FBI joined in the search in the afternoon. Authorities no longer consider the child in immediate danger and said the kidnapping suspects could be headed to Georgia.
"However, we’re going to work night and day until we get her back," said Pack, who would not release the names of the child’s adoptive or biological mothers.
Witnesses and family members have been questioned and a polygraph operator brought in, but no one has been asked to submit to a lie-detector test, Pack said.
The alert was just the fourth issued by the state since the program began in 2002, and the second in a week.

JACKSON, Miss. — The 5-month-old girl kidnapped in a home invasion in northeastern Mississippi was recovered early Sunday morning at Fort Bragg, N.C.
An FBI spokesman said Madison Erickson was kidnapped by her biological mother, and two arrests on state kidnapping charges have been made. Authorities are still looking for a man they said participated in the kidnapping.
The FBI and Fort Bragg military police arrested the baby's biological mother, Jamie Kiefer, and her biological aunt, Rikki Swann, shortly after they arrived at Fort Bragg at about 5:40 a.m. EDT.
Special Agent Jason Pack said authorities believe the women were among the three who broke into the home of Madison's adopted mother, Jennifer Erickson, and took the baby at gun point Saturday morning.
"The adopted family is en route from Mississippi to North Carolina to get the baby," Pack said.
Authorities issued an Amber Alert Saturday afternoon after one armed man and two women — all wearing masks — broke into Jennifer Erickson's Tishomingo County home and took the baby.
Dozens of local, state, federal and military law enforcement officers participated in the search.
