Can anyone tell me if there is a charge for either scraping off the labels of a perscription drug bottle? I seem to remember hearing that there is a charge for that but cant find it for the life of me. Could someone give me any input and let me know if there is a charge for that or did i just make it up.

thanks

there is no charge that I know of.

However in order to lawfully carry drugs it must be in the bottle with all the information in tact.

You might have a script for valium but, if you are carrying a couple in your pocket (minus the bottle) you can be arrested for possession.

ok thanks, that is what i thought. i was just looking for an extra charge and for some reason i kept thinking that was a charge for the label thing.

94c-25 Restrictions:

No person....
(4) shall remove, alter, or obliterate a symbol or label required by federal law and the laws of the commonwealth;

maybe this is what you were thinking of but I was once advised that this whole sections deals with restrictions on those authorized to dispense drugs.
(not the user on the street.)
