Floyd County police officer Joel White was released from inpatient rehabilitation Tuesday, ending a stint in medical care that began when he was taken from the shooting scene last month in critical condition.
Officer Frank Denzinger was slain in the same incident.
White will continue rehabilitation but as an outpatient.
Floyd County Sheriff Darrell Mills said White needs more surgeries but hopes to return to work one day.
