Paxton police solved burglary of home

When our home was burglarized, I requested prayers at church that the suspect would do the right thing and turn himself in. The Paxton police were persistent in their investigation and the suspect did indeed turn himself in. We have received most of our property which was stolen and we are very grateful for prayers as well as the excellent police investigation by Detective Jason Silvestri of the Paxton Police Department.

The Paxton police are very committed to solving crimes related to housebreaks, especially since Chief Robert J. Mortell was killed on Feb. 1, 1994, while he was investigating a housebreak in a neighboring town. I know that Paxton was named after Charles Paxton, customs commissioner at the Port of Boston, but, to me, Paxton means town of peace.

So Paxtonites, keep your doors locked, always put the alarm on and keep the dog alert, but also know that the Paxton police are working very hard to keep us all safe. Let’s keep our attitude on zero tolerance for crime and also keep in mind the awesome power of prayer.
