Surveillance photo taken during the robbery of the Bank Five in Fall River. Mass Most Wanted
Surveillance photo from the Slades Ferry Bank in Fairhaven. Fairhaven Police
(WBZ)FAIRHAVEN Police on the South Coast are looking for a sharp-dressed bank robber who may be responsible for a series of heists in the region.
Fairhaven police released surveillance photos of the man from a July 5 robbery at the Slades Ferry Bank on Huttleston Ave. The man is shown leaning casually in line, and at the teller wearing a suit jacket, dress pants and sunglasses.
Police say he handed the teller a handwritten note demanding cash, then left the bank with the money. They are investigating whether this is the same man who robbed several other area banks in recent months.
A surveillance photo of a similar-looking man in a suit was released from a robbery last month in Fall River. In that case the suspect, also wearing a suit, calmly approached a teller at Bank Five on Main Street and handed a note demanding cash.
The suspect is described as a white man in his 40s or 50s, with a medium build and receding hairline cropped very close to his head.
