FYI: I jut applied there a couple (2?) weeks ago and the receptionists told me that they just completed interviews for their next full-time CO academy. I wouldn't expect to hear anything from them for a while.

they def. finished up interviews mine was back in Feb. or March and they just paid me a visit this week for my background investigation. anyone know how well the academy is, they told me it's a 12 week academy in New Bedford ran by the Sheriff's department itself

When did they say you were starting. And did they offer you a $1000 bonus?

well they just started my background so i still need to pass that, go to a doctors physical, and whatever else is after that, then get approved for the academy by the sheriff. they didn't say anything about a bonus either so who knows.
