(WBZ)BOSTON Boston police are looking for a man who pulled off a daring escape in handcuffs this morning. They say 23-year-old Michael Stokes is armed and dangerous.
Officers went to an apartment on Whitman Street in Dorchester around 5 a.m. after a woman claimed Stokes attacked her and had a gun.
Moments after he was handcuffed, he escaped by jumping out of a third-floor window.
Police say he took off in an SUV and crashed into several vehicles along the way.
He jumped out of the SUV at Edson and Norfolk Streets and ran off. Police believe he may still be armed with a gun. He might also be injured from the jump.
Investigators want anyone with information to call Boston Police at 1800-494-TIPS or text the word "Tip" to CRIME (27463).
