LONDON (Reuters) - A police community support officer was stabbed on Tuesday while on duty near one of London's busiest train stations, Scotland Yard said.
The officer, in his 30s, was attacked outside a bank near Victoria station. He was taken to a central London hospital where his injuries were described as "non-life threatening". Police closed roads and sealed off the area. A Scotland Yard spokeswoman declined to give more details of the attack, but said there was no link to the heightened security in the capital after two car bombs were found last week.
