(WBZ)HAVERHILL State Police are investigating a deadly hit and run in Haverhill.
The crash happed early Friday morning on 495 South. Police say the driver of a white SUV or pickup truck hit another driver, whose car slammed into a tree.
The driver of the second car, John Grant, 23, of Chelmsford, was thrown from the vehicle and died at the scene.
Grant's passenger, Aja Mocherman, 19, of Chelmsford, was also thrown from the car. He is recovering from serious injuries at Brigham and Women's Hospital.
Police say they are now looking for the white vehicle, which may have minor to moderate front end damage as a result of the crash.
