WILBRAHAM, MASSACHUSETTS (WWLP) A Wilbraham woman convicted of soliciting someone to murder her husband has been sentenced to six months in jail. 45-year-old Donna Wolcott was also given two years probation. Her husband, Jeffrey Wolcott, who has since filed for divorce, was in the courtroom to hear the sentence. The woman's attorney had argued for no jail time. "I think that's what would have been appropriate. Certainly six months is a significant amount of time for someone with no criminal record at all, no criminal history."
Wolcott was also convicted of violating a restraining order taken out by her husband. Her attorney says she's appealing the conviction and the specific words Mrs. Wolcott used could not be considered solicitation as defined by the law.
