Annan 'disappointed' son didn't tell all
Kojo Annan continued on payroll of oil-for-food inspection firm

UNITED NATIONS (CNN) -- U.N. Secretary-General Kofi Annan said Monday he was "disappointed and surprised" to learn that his son, Kojo, had remained on the payroll of a company involved in the Iraq oil-for-food program, the subject of several corruption probes.

http://www.cnn.com/2004/WORLD/meast/...nan/index.html

Just wait till the investigations are all in...France, Russia, China, and almost anyone in the UN stonewalling the US trying to get into Iraq was on the Iraqi payroll, of this I have no doubt.

I told ya!!!!!
Friggin Frogs!!!!

This story has been out since long before the invasion of Iraq. The fact that the "mainstream media" has chosen to ignore it is a travesty. They'll happily tell you what W or Kerry may have done back in the Vietnam era, but "allies" failing to shoulder their part of the load and profit from a dictator? Not interested.

A dedicated, selfless US Marine rightfully shoots and kills an insurgent (hiding in a mosque, by the way, against Geneva rules) and the media is ready to crucify him before learning the whole story. Yet, when US Troops REPEATEDLY find huge weapons depots loaded with weapons from FRANCE, GERMANY and RUSSIA, it barely gets a mention at all. Also lost in the shuffle is the fact that the UN has been employing members of HAMAS and HEZBOLLAH in many of their relief programs. Ok, the UN can employ KNOWN terrorists and its alright. The UN Secretary General's son miraculously finds a job on the UN Oil for Food program and that too is OK ? When are the people of the United States going to realize that the UN should have no say whatsoever in our National Defense or how we fight our wars. I do not want the fate of our troops as well as out families in the hands of corrupt leaders from the other side of the world!!!

Is it possible to evict the UN from the country????

Heck isn't Lybia in charge of the UN Commision on Human Rights?

You're damn right it is. John and Teresa can lead the exodus. They can part the Atlantic like Moses did the sea and walk all the way over to France

There's a couple of reps in congress that want to withhold U.S. funding from the U.N. until they "come clean"...then kick them out!

Really, though, we should remain a member of state of the U.N.....and just veto everything that they pass, rendering them functionally irrelevant. We still have NATO for discussion purposes.

The UN is a pile of Wussies anyways. Not a single one of them knows what they are doing except Powell. Now we gotta deal with Condi going to the UN we may as well just flush that down the toilet.
