Within the next few days we will be moving the web based email service for masscop.com to our own server. Please backup and save any email/data that you have on the email system to your local hard drive. Once the new email server is up and running you will have to re-register. I am sorry for any inconvenience this causes you but it must be done.
In addition to the masscop.com domain we have added several other domains that you may use for your MassCop WebMail service,
The other domains that would be available are as follows:
There are a few reasons we are moving, the main one is the fact that Everyone.net has no prevention of spambots registering as users, every week I am deleting 20+ accounts that have been setup automatically by spammers. Not only is this an inconvenience it would eventually lead to the masscop.com domain being black listed with SpamCop as well as a few others black list providers making the domain eventually useless for email purposes.
The second reason is the cost involved, we are only allotted 100 accounts on the current pricing plan and we currently have 91 actual users. In order to obtain more accounts (up to 250) the price more than doubles and is not cost effective.
While I do not think that the new software is as robust as Everyone.net's it is functional and gets the job done, we are not limited to a set amount of users and we can offer multiple domains. There is also the anti-robot feature on the registration page that prevents spammers from automatically generating accounts practically eliminating the risk of being black listed.
Again I apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your cooperation as we continue to grow. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me at gil@masscops.com
Sincerely, Gil Bechtel MassCops Admin
