I was unable to locate any openings for part-time CO jobs but I was wondering if any of the Sheriff Depts ever hire part-time CO's? Thanks in advance.

I knew some people that worked per diem shifts for Hampden County Sheriffs Department. This was 3 or 4 years ago.

Essex County has part-time Reserve Officers.

Middlesex may hire you part time, if you know people.

Yeah I know Essex County keeps you as a part-time reserve before you got full time, may want to look into that.

what about norfolk? I am interested in working part time as well. Just trying to pick up some extra bucks. I assume that they require you to attend their academy? Is it true that MCSO will hire part time deaputy sheriffs if you have the RI academy and are a PO?
