Just got hired and was going to attend the Weymouth Academy, but its been cancelled, I guess due to lack of bodies. They are going to send us to the Reading Academy and I was wondering if anyone had any feedback on this academy?
Thanks,

huh rah, go 7th!
Reading was good... when i was there it wasn't too heavy on the PT, rather the focus was on academics and such. Had really great instructors who had a lot of information to share. I'm not sure if the lead DI that I had, Sgt. LeBel, is still there but he was also great.

My understanding is they have cupcakes at noon and nap time has been pushed back to 1030 hours. Every day starts with story time and group hugs at the end of every day.
Anyone still here from the 11th?

Nap time is still at 10:00 but they extended it until lunch so you are well rested for sandbox.

I was told that Reading is on float status and has about 50% of the required number of students. It might start up sometime in the fall.

I heard through the grape vine that Reading was starting sometime in September. Anyone hear the same?

Just got an e-mail from the MPTC coordinator and she said that they have 27 recruits so far, need 40 to run it, but she said she would have a better idea in a couple of weeks. They are hoping for possibly September 17th or around there? I wouldn't hold your breath though, its been pretty rediculous trying to find an academy that has enough bodies! At this point I'll take whatever I can get, I love cupcakes and the sand box sounds great! Maybe we can all take the little yellow bus there everyday.....

I did, now it's just a waiting game for an academy....it's looking like Reading will be the place.

Reading is full and is scheduled to start Mid-September, no actual date set yet.
We missed the cutoff so our guy will be going to Boylston, whenever that starts.

Yeah I saw that too on the academy section.. no word on plymouth yet, I hope our department makes it in time for plymouth this year. If not I have no idea where we will end up sending recruits and I am a cadet just waiting eagerly to go ! lol
