NEW SMYRNA BEACH, Fla. -- A woman is accused of biting half of another woman's left ear off, according to authorities.
Police said 23-year-old Hawwah Santiago bit half of Esquilla Halton's left ear off Tuesday evening.
The police report says the women got into a fight at outside Halton's New Smyrna Beach apartment
The report said Halton told police Santiago and another woman approached her and her two children and started an argument. It says that during the argument Santiago bit Halton.
The report said 24-year-old Halton was taken to Halifax Medical Center where she underwent surgery to repair her ear.
Hospital officials said they did not have a record of her.
