MILWAUKEE, WISCONSIN (NBC) - Around 3 o’clock Sunday afternoon two men robbed a Milwaukee, Wisconsin U-Haul store. But they weren’t your typical robbers. They wanted more than cash. After taking the money one of the men didn’t run. The robber also wanted a date with the woman he just robbed! "He stuck around and was trying to get the female employees number," U-Haul General Manager Patrick Sobocinski said. "She said he was just saying, 'Hey baby, you’re pretty fine,'" Sobocinski added. The two robbers pulled up to the store in a late 1980’s model Cadillac. They got out then walked inside. "One of the guys went behind the counter, put his hands around both the employees' waists and told them 'This is a robbery. Give us all the money'" Sobocinski said.
Sobocinski is angry the robbers targeted his store, but infuriated the robber actually touched his workers. "I think at that point they (the employees) had to be scared for their lives," Sobocinski said. The robber forced an employee to open the cash register. He grabbed money, forced the workers to the ground then fled.
However his accomplice didn’t move from the counter. This is when he allegedly asked the clerk out on a date. "She said he was saying, 'Can I get your number and go out sometime,'" Sobocinski explained. She turned him down so he turned and left. Now police are looking for them.
