What is the legality of the operator of a car using a laptop while driving.
I use laptop-based GPS on a daily basis.
Naturaly, someone playing a DVD would constitite "TV foward of the operator" and associated MGL:'s, but for use as such, any case-law or MGL anyoe knows about?

I seriously doubt there is any case law on the use of a laptop while driving. I think it would simply follow along the lines of impeded operation.

If you are just viewing the laptop as someone would a GPS screen I beleive that is legal however if you driving is impaired (ie typing while driving) and/or an accident results I would cite Neg/Reckless operation.
