SEOUL (Reuters) - SK Wyverns coach Lee Man-soo did not need a home run to round the bases at Incheon's Munhak Stadium -- all it took was a pair of underpants and fake buttocks.
The former Chicago White Sox bullpen catcher, known as the "Hulk" to local fans, promised last month he would strip to his underwear if the stadium sold out by Saturday's deadline.
At the start of the fourth inning of the game against KIA Tigers, the scoreboard revealed all tickets had been sold and a smiling Lee took to the diamond sporting a pair of red-and-white striped boxer shorts and fake buttocks.
"The 10 minutes felt like an hour," South Korea's former home run king told the Sports Seoul newspaper.
SK Wyverns had not sold out a home game since April 2005, despite the efforts of Lee and the club to encourage fans in Incheon, the paper said.
Lee planned to auction the famous boxers and donate the money to charity, it added.
