'Assault rifle' is actually false leg

A hospital in America was locked down and armed police searched the building after a member of the public reported that a man had walked into the building with an assault rifle.
The 'assault rifle' turned out to be a prosthetic leg.
The incident began when a woman called to report that she'd seen a man carrying a weapon into St. Joseph Hospital in Bellingham, Washington. Several police agencies responded quickly, conducting a search of every floor in the building.
When that didn't find a crazed gunman anywhere, they evacuated the building. It was at this point that the woman who originally spotted the gunman saw him again – and it turned out to be an office worker carrying a prosthetic leg.
Police Deputy Chief David Doll commented: 'Everyone did everything right. Like we hoped, it turned out to be a good situation today.'

What, ran around in an ignorant panic and cleared out a hospital because some nitwit couldn't tell the difference between this:

...and this?

What a bunch of nanny state libtards. Is that the same Deputy Chief Doll that starred in the "Dollman" movie?

I knew there was a reason I never considered Washington state for a residence/work...even though it meant giving up all those sexy unshaven women...

Maybe this is what she saw.

Anyone else remember the "A-Team" episode where the South American criminal had a shotgun in his fake leg?

Well, in all fairness, they are both made from metal and plastic materials.
I can see the need for such alarm, after all, guns are bad remember.

Eh, if it were MA, a prosthetic leg that looked dangerous probably would be classified as an assault weapon.

This sounds more like something that would happen in Mass.

Of course you know what is going to happen next, some idiot politician looking to score useless point will want to ban false legs from looking like a gun even if it dose not even come close.

Check for this city ordinance in Boston, Chelsea, and New Bedford.
