KEENE, N.H. -- Police said that a Domino's Pizza delivery driver was assaulted by three men Wednesday night.
Investigators said that the driver was attacked at about 11:15 p.m. Police said neighbors reported hearing the driver's screams before the men fled the scene.
The manager of the Domino's said that she believes the assailants called from a payphone but used a fake number to lure the driver to the area. She said the men put a gun to the driver's head, beat him with a baseball bat and demanded his money.
The driver had $20 on him, and the manager said the men also took his cell phone. She said no one responded to his cries for help after the attack, and he drove himself to a police station.
The driver was taken to Cheshire Medical Center, where he had to get 36 staples in his head. He was treated and released.
Officials said anyone with information should call Keene police.
