A Cape Neddick, Maine, man has been sentenced to 63 months in federal prison after pleading guilty to nine counts of robbery in federal court at Concord, NH U.S. Attorney Thomas Colantuono has announced.
Derek Kucinski, 20, pleaded guilty to committing the following robberies in 2006: TD Banknorth in Plaistow on July 10; Provident Bank in Seabrook on Oct. 1; Sovereign Bank branches in Haverhill, Mass., on June 26 and Sept. 11 and Sept. 14; Haverhill Bank in Haverhill, Mass., on July 1; TD Banknorth in Rowley, Mass., on Sept. 28; Provident Bank in Newburyport, Mass., on Oct. 3; and Eastern Bank in Newburyport, Mass., on Oct. 6.
Kucinski was also sentenced to three years of supervised release, which will begin after he is released from prison. He was ordered to pay restitution to the banks.
The robberies were investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Plaistow, Seabrook, Haverhill, Rowley, and Newburyport police departments
