I'm taking my EMT-B course and am looking for decent appropriate footwear for ride alongs and eventually for working on an ambulance. I'm hoping for some tips on what to look for and where to find it. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Corcoran Paratrooper boots: 60+ years and still unbeatable.

The Corcorans are awesome boots. I am not sure they are steel toed though (probably depends on the model).

It took me about two weeks to break mine in, but after that, they're like butter.

I bought a pair of the corcoran jump boots once. Those slick soles are horrible in the woods and New England winter. The Corcoran II field boots are a whole different story. A nice lug on the sole and much softer leather, comfy, functional, and take a nice shine. Oh yeah, and they come in steel toe

I have Magnum stealths that I bought at LB Pennyworths in Lynn MA on Boston street for $80. I love them, they are like wearing sneakers. I use them for both Police and EMS work. I reccomend the side zips so they are easy to slip on and off when your at the station on the couch and get a call.
