What's up with the brake dust on the 06 and 07s Crown Vic Police cars. Driving a car with less than 500 miles and the brake dust on it in a week is disgusting. Same on all the 06s and other 07s. What's a good cleaner that is easy to spray on without getting in there and taking the crap out.

Take it to the car wash & sign on the dotted line.

Problem solved.

Just grab somthing like this at auto parts-

The car wash usually wont take off that chunked on brake dust.

I've ended up using Clorox Clean-Up as a last resort and it actually worked well... But if you can, use something like Dodge posted.

Just spray paint them black and stop worrying about it. Or get ceramic pads. http://www.aa1car.com/library/ceramic.htm

Good to know, thanks.

Yeah but that doesn't work. You really need to get in there to get them clean, car wash they still look like crap.

The covers on my 07 cruiser look fine after a car wash, and even if they didn't......it ain't my car!

Exactly!! And what do you think is gonna happen after you spend 30 minutes cleaning your wheels and you drive down the street and stop at a couple of red lights and stop signs? The same exact thing! Cleaning it is nothing, a regular car wash will get them clean enough. Preventing the brake dust from caking on to begin with is another story.

I wish they still had the old crome wheel covers like on the '03's and 04's. Those looked sharp and cleaned easily.

What's an '07 look like, anyhow? my regular ride is an '05, and while it's out having the transmission replaced again, I'm driving a '98. The good news is the '98 is going to hit 200k this weekend. I hope I'm driving it!
