I'm not in the Massachusetts area but have intentions of visiting soon. Other than the big cities (because I live just outside of one), what other points of interest can you tell me about?

Thanks in advance.

The Berkshires are great for scenery and skiing in the cold months, hiking and camping in the warm months. Check out Stockbridge, Greylock, Hoosac Tunnel and the Mohawk & Appalachian Trails.

Likewise, a trip down the Cape is good any time of year, just be prepared for traffic in the summer.

Springfield area has the Basketball Hall of Fame, Six Flags, the Eastern States Exposition, bike and rail trails. As you travel east, you find antiques (and scab cops) in Brimfield, a taste of colonial New England at Old Sturbridge Village...

Someone want to pick it up from there?

Thank you, VOR. Much appreciated.

Hmmmm
You could go north to Gloucester
Check out the Fishing

Salem is Fun while you are up in the area.
The Salem Witch Museum.

On the South Shore.
Quincy, MA has the U.S.S Salem a Heavy Cruiser retired US Navy ship.
They also have the Birthplaces of presidents John Adams and John Quincy Adams.
Also the Adam's summer White house is there too.

Also on the South Shore
Plymouth Rock. And also Plymouth Plantation.

Western MA past the Springfield area you have the Mohawk trail.
A great drive in the fall (A little past peak but maybe next year)

You can hang with the Rich and Famous on Nantucket and / or Martha's Vineyard.
Take a ferry from Cape Cod.

Here is a link to get you started.
Good Luck and have fun if you come to our great commonwealth!

Neither! If you want the best cheesesteak in Philly, you'll either have to go to Dalessandro's in Roxborough, or Chink's in Northeast Philadelphia.

The other two are loaded with GREASE...so much so that it's enough to kill you!

But if I had to choose, I'd go with Geno's.

I had one that I got in a little bar next to the Embassy hotel. the Bar was called Mazzies Pub. Not a bad place. the guy who owns it is a baseball fan. The night I was there was the day that Ted Williams died we talked baseball all night, and drank martinis, and ate chesse steaks...Life is good

I really don't venture down into Philly much, even though I'm that close to it. I spend too much time working (what I'm supposed to be doing right now!)...

When you were in Philly, did you visit South Street? Home of the "gum" trees!

I did not. I did however take my kids so Saseme St, just north of Philly. We also went to a game at the Vet. I wanted to go see a River Sharks game, right over the BFB, but they were out of town, when we were there.
