An ICE official that I am familiar with has stated to me that Islamic Extremists are very active on the South Shore (south of Boston). Are we doing enough to infiltrate these groups? Are Police brass more concerned with being politically correct? In my opinion we are not doing enough to look into these groups. Due to the like of the ACLU etc our society is so afraid to hurt someone's feelings or violate their "rights". Any thoughts?

The public and officers not involved really don't have a "need to know". Would you expect a press release saying, "We have operatives in these groups and we're watching their every move?" You don't need Sun Tzu to tell you that would not be an effective tactic.

One thought is that any discussion of this on a public forum would tend to be counterproductive. No point in letting these demonic little fvcker$ know what we're up to, we're better off playing their game and hit them hard when they least expect it. I would expect that "persons of interest" are being monitored closely.
