(WBZ) FRAMINGHAM A group of girls at Framingham State College were photographed at a lacrosse game with bare bellies. Apparently two of them didn't like the photo, so they allegedly stole some of the campus newspapers, hoping no one would see the picture.

It backfired.

Now that photo is on the front page of the MetroWest Daily News and it's circulating the internet.

The photo ran in the April 27 edition of The Gatepost. The seven girls had written "I (heart symbol) N-O-O-N-A-N on their bare bellies as they stood at the top of the bleachers to show their support for a player on the woman's lacrosse team during a recent game.

Once the paper was published about 150 copies were stolen, a college spokesman said Thursday morning. It was originally reported that nearly 1,000 copies were taken.

Desmond McCarthy, an English professor and the paper's faculty adviser, says he was told by other students that the women thought they looked fat.

"I guess they were embarrassed about how they looked in the photo," college spokesman Peter Chisholm told the MetroWest Daily News.

He said campus police traced the missing papers back to the two girls, when one of them turned herself in. They will not be charged by police, but Chisholm said the school might punish them.

"The college doesn't condone actions such as this. We think it was a childish thing to do," he told the paper.

One of the students in the photo, Courtney Wall, said she had no problem with the picture and thinks it was "dumb" for others to swipe the papers.

What I don't understand is: they thought they looked fat, but they still wore the outfits in public anyways? I'm sure half of the school already saw them anyway. And I'm sure if one of their friends took that picture, they'd post it as their "myspace" default picture in a heartbeat.

Fat? Those girls aren't fat, they're just insulated in case the tempature drops again this month.

I bet it was the one in the middle or the one on the far right who stole the papers... ahhh, nevermind.. they all look like shit, could have been any one of them!
