Flag Hung When Son Left For Boot Camp

HINSDALE, Mass. -- A Hinsdale woman is outraged that someone stole a Marine Corps flag and plaque from her home.

Jessica Swail said she hung the flag when her son, Mitchell Keil, left for boot camp last year.

She mounted a plaque next to the flag that reads "This property protected by the U.S. Marines."
She said the flag and plaque remind her of her son who is based at Camp Lejeune in North Carolina and is expected to be deployed to Iraq.

Swail reported the theft to police but was told there is little they can do. She called the theft "low."
Swail said she doesn't agree with the war in Iraq, but she still supports her Marine.

Island Hopping campaign....

Sounds like you have experienced that "pleasure". My platoon made it to every Battalion, but 4th's which I am glad we didn't.

Back to the topic at hand, the scumbag who dared to take one of the two most sacred flags in this world you better return it ASAP! I do not think you have any idea in this world how many Marines you just pissed off by your actions. You better hope you never come across a Marine of any age, because you will find out why the Germans named us DEVIL DOGS!

One of our guys caught three illegals stealing an American flag off a city building. Every cop that responded to the call was a veteran.

Not a pretty scene.

I think a trip to Parris Island to be used as cannon fodder by DI's in lieu of jail time would be nice to see.
