4 bikers arrested on weapons charges

WORCESTER— State police seized deadly weapons and arrested four members of the Outlaws Motorcycle Club Friday after they were pulled over on Interstate 290 for a routine motor vehicle violation, officials said.

Two men from Massachusetts and a woman and man from New Hampshire were arrested after state police stopped five motorcyclists and a pickup with two men and a woman inside heading westbound near Exit 13, beneath the Vernon Street overpass, according to police.

They said all eight are members of the Outlaws.

Two handguns, a garrote, brass knuckles and body armor were confiscated, according to state police spokeswoman Sgt. Carol MacDonald.

Trooper Robert Choquette of the Holden barracks stopped biker Victor M. Vicente, 42, of Amherst, N.H., about 2:30 p.m. for having loud pipes on his bike and an improper helmet. After searching him and his bike, the trooper arrested him for illegal possession of the prescription drug OxyCodone, illegal possession of a steel garrote, wearing body armor in commission of a felony and illegal possession of a handgun without a license.

Police found two handguns, a Smith & Wesson .357-caliber Magnum and a Glock .45-caliber semiautomatic, in the console of a GMC truck occupied by Mr. Vicente’s brother, Jose A. Vicente, 49, of Somerville; Frank E. Moran, 26, of Lowell; and Leah C. Liouzis 27, of Pennacook, N.H.

The men were each charged with possession of a weapon without a license. Mr. Moran was also charged with driving after his license was suspended, Sgt. MacDonald said. Ms. Liouzis was charged with illegal possession of brass knuckles, the spokeswoman said.

Jose Vicente was released on $1,000 cash bail; his brother and Frank Moran, on $500; Ms. Liouzis on personal recognizance, officials said.

All will be arraigned tomorrow in Central District Court, Sgt. MacDonald said.

One of the Outlaws involved, just got his colors the night before we grabbed him. He had fresh stitches in his head from his "initiation".

Guess I shouldn't take the scoot anywhere near the Holden Barracks.

Nope, not if you are unlawfully in possession of handguns, brass knuckles, and body armor.. apparently there is some good police work going on out there.
