Paris Hilton Is Sentenced to 45 Days in Jail for Violating Probation

A judge sentenced Paris Hilton to 45 days in county jail Friday for violating her probation, putting the brakes on the hotel heiress' famous high life.
Hilton, who parlayed her name and relentless partying into worldwide notoriety, must go to jail on June 5 and she will not be allowed any work release, furloughs, use of an alternative jail or electronic monitoring in lieu of jail, Superior Court Judge Michael T. Sauer ruled after a hearing.
The judge ruled that she was in violation of the terms of her probation in an alcohol-related reckless driving case.
"I'm very sorry and from now on I'm going to pay complete attention to everything. I'm sorry and I did not do it on purpose at all," she told the judge before he announced the sentence.
She was then ordered to report to a women's jail in suburban Lynwood on the set date or face 90 days behind bars. The judge's ruling excluded her from paying to serve time in a jail of her choice, as some are allowed.
As a city prosecutor said during closing arguments that Hilton deserved jail time, Hilton's mother, Kathy, laughed. When the judge ruled, Kathy Hilton, then blurted out: "May I have your autograph?"

Her mother is an absolute see you next Tuesday.

Typical entitlement
Moments after Paris Hilton was sentenced to serve 45 (days in jail), her mother, Kathy, rushed over to the lead prosecutor and lashed out, "I want your autograph. This is pathetic."
In the same breath, as she walked out of the courtroom, Kathy looked up and said, "I can't believe all the money we spent on this."

So is it just Koz and me who thinks she is not hot?

Posted by: gooday

I think she's just a skinny blonde with money that would be a 7 on a scale from 1-10 at a bar on a Saturday night if she was not famouse. But like Andy said the Mimi look a like jail sex tape would be priceless. She better give it up or come up with a pack of Malbaro each week.

Will jail make Paris even more popular?

LOS ANGELES (AP) - Paris Hilton is so pampered she doesn't read her mail. "I have people who do that for me," she told a judge. Legal documents and traffic citations elude her. "I just sign what people tell me to sign," she testified. Facing a 45-day jail sentence - and perhaps her first brush with accountability - could be a reality check for Hilton. But regardless of how she handles it, it may make her more popular than ever.

Schwarzenegger Asked To Pardon Paris

Lawyers Take First Steps To Appeal Socialite's Jail Sentence

LOS ANGELES -- Free Paris!

That's the message in an online petition asking California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger to pardon the hotel heiress from the 45-day jail term she received over a parole violation.

The petition said that Hilton "provides hope for young people all over the U.S. and the world" and "provides beauty and excitement" to people's mundane lives.
It compares a potential pardon for the 26-year-old socialite to President Gerald Ford's pardon of former President Richard Nixon.

By Tuesday morning, nearly 1,000 people had signed on to the petition.

A judge ordered Hilton on Friday to report to a county jail by June 5 for violating the terms of her probation in an alcohol-related reckless driving case.

Meanwhile, lawyers for Paris Hilton said that they're getting ready to appeal her sentence.

Hilton's lawyers said that they've taken the first step by filing a notice of appeal with the court. The document is required before a formal appeal can be lodged. The appeal itself will be filed on Friday.

"I feel that I was treated unfairly and that the sentence is both cruel and unwarranted and I don't deserve this," Hilton told photographers assembled outside her home Saturday.

It was uncanny to see how quickly she dropped the "airhead" act when she was talking about the impending jail term and the unfairness therein. Scared straight a little Paris?
Genuine stupidity is bad enough, contrived idiocy is sickening.
I hope she has 45 manifestly miserable days in the joint.
Let the LASD help bring the bitch back to real-world reality.
