Two police officers in Eatonville, Fla., are being credited with pulling a woman out of a burning building and possibly saving her life.
Officials said the woman was sleeping early Tuesday when a fire broke out in the Eatonville building on Lime Street.
The woman removed her baby from the duplex, but then rushed back in to try to save some belongings. She apparently could not get back out and had to be pulled out of the building.
"You see someone going in and I just can't see myself just standing by and just hoping that she comes out," Eatonville police Sgt. Felicia Hernandez said. "So, it is just an matter of me and Officer Jones going in and doing our job and making sure she comes out."
No one was injured in the blaze.
The fire marshal is investigating.
