I am looking to take my Wife to her first Redsox game. Any recommendations on where to get good tickets at a good price. I would like to spend $120 +/- for 2 tickets, cheaper the better but I do not want to get crappy seats.
Also what are the best seats for the best price.
Thanks!

Should be able to get two grandstand seats on ebay for 120. Stubhub.com may have some good deals.

I have used gotickets, they are reputable and comparable to most ticket agency pricing.

You can get an OK deal on Craigslist.com once in awhile too!

yeah we are looking for a mid week game... maybe May 16 vs Tigers

The only thing you'll get that cheap is bleachers or outfield grandstand.. you might be able to find a couple infield grandstand, high up, tickets for $180 - $200. Good seats will run you $200+ for a pair for a midweek game.

Ace tickets have never done me wrong...in fact last year I bought a pair of tickets online with them. Next day they call me and tell me that they made a mistake and the tickets I bought were already sold, but they would get me pair of better seats, right near first base, for the same price! Now that's customer service!

That would be the only legitimate reason you could say I live on the wrong side of the river

CT is definately a major battleground for the evil empire. Then again there are plenty of new yorkers that are sox fans, ie. any sox yankees game in ny has a huge sox population whereas yanks fans arent as likely to make the trip. Goin grandstand tonight, hope its as good a game as last nights KT. Go sox!

I'm going May 16th vs. Tigers! That's my birthday!!
I got the tickets on acetickets.com, but I've also used ebay (just be sure to check the sellers accountability).
You can also try to stand in line for game day tickets. Click http://boston.redsox.mlb.com/bos/ticketing/gameday.jsp for information on that. I've done it a couple times and have gotten in line around 3pm and you basically just wait until they open the gate. First come first serve, and you both have to be there to get 2 tickets. Also, sometimes the day of the game there are tickets released online. I've done that a couple times too. Checked around 3pm and there were 2 seats available.
I personally like the bleachers, esp. section 42 in rows 1-5ish. You're right in front of the bullpen and you have a great view of the field. You don't have to crane your neck, and they're only like $25 each if you get them from the Sox themselves. And any homers that Papi hits you might be able to catch!
Be careful if you choose to go the scalping route, there are a LOT LOT LOT of undercover PDs this year.
Good luck! Although it is Tavarez pitching that day so maybe try to go tomorrow instead haha.

To be honest, the best deal I ever got was from a scalper on Yawkey... a crusty old season ticket holder.

Hum...I'll work on those pictures again...it was such a good game.
