Does anybody on here have any idea when the next Rhode Island State Police exam will be? I have sent a letter of interest to them, just curious as to when/if I should be getting a response in the near future. Thank you

I don't know, but when they do, remember to polish those shoes!

Haha thanks for the reply. I did hear that they are very militaristic and intimidating, even on exam day.

Unfortunately, the RI state budget is very tight this year and they were talking about laying off troopers. However, CT state police are hiring if interested!!

I did see that CT was hiring, however you have to be 21 to take the exam in CT, and in RI I believe you only have to be 18. I won't be 21 until 2009, and wanted to take the RI test for the experience, to see how I did, and if I did well enough, take it from there...

Someone told me that they saw an ad in the newspaper that RI was looking for help. Like you I filled out their letter or intrest and have not heard from them and there is nothing posted on their website. Just give them a call and see what they say.
