A 12-year-old boy was arrested at Concord Middle School yesterday after police said he told classmates he wanted to hurt 10 pupils whose names he had written down on a list he brought to school. Concord Police Chief Leonard J. Wetherbee said school staff learned of the threats yesterday morning, separated the seventh grader from classmates, and notified police. Police recovered the list of names, which did not include any written threats of violence. The parents of the 10 pupils identified as targets will be notified by the department and the school administration, Wetherbee said. Officers did not find any weapons, and the school never went into lockdown. The seventh-grader was charged with disorderly conduct and interrupting a school assembly.
