A two-day manhunt for a pint-sized, pistol-packing punk ended at Symphony Hall yesterday, when cops surrounded the man’s car and seized not only the gun but vials of steroids, according to a police report.
Sean Bowles, 27, of Boston was wanted for allegedly swiping a pal’s .22-caliber Beretta handgun from his Bay State Road home.
The victim told police that Bowles stole the loaded gun as well as cash Thursday night.
Police said Bowles was known to frequent a popular gymnasium on Lansdowne Street. A detail officer spotted him in the area and radioed the direction Bowles was last headed. Cops found him on Westland Street and Massachusetts Avenue.
When they pulled Bowles over, police recovered a small black handgun with a loaded clip and several prescription medications, including testosterone enathate and stanabol.
Those two drugs are widely advertised as medical muscle-builders on steroid and body-building Web sites.
Bowles, who measures 4-feet, 2-inches high and weighs 120 pounds, was charged with larceny of a firearm, unarmed breaking and entering at night, unlawful possession of a firearm and possession of prescription medication.
Bowles was still in custody yesterday evening. Police said he will be arraigned Monday at Boston Municipal Court.
