HOLYOKE, MASSACHUSETTS (WWLP) The third suspect in Friday's Holyoke shooting walked into the Holyoke police station and turned himself in. The Holyoke police chief's office has confirmed that Jose Vazquez surrendered to police Monday night. He was wanted in connection with the murder of 22-year old Gabriel Luis Hernandez of Springfield.
On Monday, two other men were arraigned and held without bail in connection with the murder: 20-year-old Jose Rodriguez of Pine Street and 21-year-old Emiliano Santiago of Maple Street, both of Holyoke.
The shooting happened at the intersection of High and Sergeant Streets around 6 o'clock Friday night. Four other people were shot, including one man who was critically injured. This is the first homicide of the year in the city of Holyoke.
