(WBZ)MEDFORD Police in Medford are looking for a man who is accused of sexually assaulting a woman who was walking down Winthrop Street Friday night.
According to a police report, a 24-year-old woman who had just gotten off a bus noticed a man on the other side of the street. The victim told police the man crossed the street, came up behind her and grabbed her. The suspect allegedly held a knife to her throat and assaulted her in a driveway.
Police say the suspect then brought the woman to his car, where he assaulted her again. The victims said the man flashed a knife at her and told her not to try and escape.
After the assault, the suspect allegedly drove around the area and then told the woman to get out of the car about a quarter of a mile from where the incident began.
The suspect is described as a heavy set man in his early 20s and about 5'5"-5'10" tall. The victim described him as not white and not black. He was wearing a hoodie and blue jeans at the time of the alleged attack and was driving a small, red SUV-type vehicle.
Police are asking anyone with information about the suspect to call them.
