NASHUA, N.H. -- A man previously arrested and charged with molesting a 3-year-old girl faces new charges accusing him of molesting a young boy and threatening to stab him if he told anyone.
Richard Madore, 41, was arraigned Wednesday in Nashua District Court on charges of aggravated felonious sexual assault, sexual assault and criminal threatening and ordered held on $200,000 bail pending a hearing April 25.
He had been jailed since October 2006 on the earlier charges.
Prosecutors also may charge Madore with failing to register as a sex offender in New Hampshire because he has two previous convictions for child molestation in Massachusetts, dating from the 1980s.
Police began investigating after the girl told a child care worker in 2004 that she was abused, authorities said.
Madore was charged with molesting her in his home when she was 3 and 4 years old. According to court records, he told police he targeted her because she was young and "available." That case has not gone to trial yet.
The latest charges involve a boy who allegedly was abused over four years, beginning when he was 9 years old, police said.
Police said that at one point, Madore pointed a pocket knife at the boy and said, "If you tell anyone I make you do this, I'm going to stab you."
Police said they are continuing their investigation, but they do not believe there are any other victims.
